The International Award Five Continents

"The Circus Art" of Venosa (Pz), in collaboration with the "Artistic Management", index the first edition of the International Five Continents, falling within the billboard of the tenth edition of the Festival of the Five Continents.

The Festival of the Five Continents by its nature is a meeting place of different cultures and languages, able to integrate, but also between their alternative. The Prize, multidisciplinary nature of, aims to emphasize the cultural diversity and expressive at the same time to help promote an area that is open to dialogue with the whole world, exploiting new languages ​​through the immense wealth consists of monuments, castles, churches, cloisters, historic buildings, etc.. The Prize aims to contribute to the comparison between the two aspects of the modern world: one part of the contaminations cultures, traditions, languages ​​and symbols as a result of the migration of peoples, idea, capital; on the other the need to preserve uses, morals, rituals and local folklore properly.

The award is divided into four sections: Video, Photography, Painting, Writing. Participation in the competition is free of charge, does not involve the payment of any registration fee and is open to all, no age limits, sex, nationality or other qualification. You can also participate in several sections, however, presenting one work for each section. The prize will be divided into different times and places: are planned productions of group exhibitions in Greenacres, exhibitions in art galleries, projections, public readings. The Award will be concluded with a gala, scheduled for the day 30 November 2014, in which will be the awarding of the winners of each section. The jury will be made up of people with proven experience in each area of ​​reference (critical, Journalists, directors, photo, writers, Editors, gallery, commodification of art, etc.).
